Employment Opportunity: The PA Department of Military and Veterans Affairs has four vacancies for Installation Police Officer, DMVA. These positions are located at Fort Indiantown Gap, which is in Lebanon County.

Nature of Work: You will provide police services by protecting property, grounds, facilities, tenants, employees and the public at Fort Indiantown Gap, Lebanon County, for the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA). Work involves investigating crimes, suspected crimes, and accidents; conducting police patrols; assisting visitors; responding to routine and emergency calls for assistance; issuing citations for vehicle code violations; writing reports of incidents and investigations; and explaining to visitors and employees the laws, rules, and regulations governing conduct at Fort Indiantown Gap.

Employees are sworn police officers and exercise the powers of arrest. Work is reviewed by a superior officer or administrative superior through personal inspections and review of reports.

 

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $42,709 – $64,908 annually, and excellent benefits.

Job Requirements:

Age – No age requirement

Education – Successful completion of the Municipal Police Officers’ Education and Training Commission Certified Basic Police Academy (Act 120) training.

Experience – None required

• Be a PA resident
• Have a valid driver’s license
• Pass the civil service exam for Installation Police Officer, DMVA
• Have successfully completed Act 120 training
